Sunday morning I was cruising into town via Metchosin Rd. I'd been following two cars behind a sub-speedlimit motorhome for most of the way. When we reached the two-lane stretch going up the gravel pit, the motorhome politely moved to the right-hand lane. I followed the Dodge Neon in front of me and began to pass in the inside lane. Suddenly, out of nowhere, this Toyota 4x4 PU with a boat and trailer cruises by at about 100km/h (I was already doing 70km/h in a 60 zone at that point)....
